Huawei P8 Lite is the “mini” or better said lite version of the Huawei P8, that we reviewed here. This handset gets unboxed below and comes in a pretty narrow box, just like the one of the P8.
This model is priced at $250 at Walmart in USA and inside its compact box there’s a manual, charger, USB cable, headphones that look like Apple’s Earpods and finally a metal key used to access the device’s slots. Announced in April with the P8, the smartphone measures 7.7 mm in thickness and weighs 131 grams. It comes in black or white, with silver or golden edges.
We’re dealing with a dual SIM handset here, with a nano SIM and micro SIM card slot. Its specs list includes a 5 inch HD screen, an octa core HiSilicon Kirin 620 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and 2 GB of RAM, as well as 16 GB of storage. We’ve got LTE Category 4 also in the mix, together with a 13 megapixel back camera and a 5 megapixel front shooter.
The battery is a 2200 mAh unit and the OS is Lollipop with Emotion UI on top. My first impression was that the phone feels incredibly light in the hand and we’ll be back with more details soon.
