The VAIO Phone is coming on March 12th, but till then leaks continue. A device codenamed JCI VA-10J, which is pretty clearly the VAIO phone has been benchmarked in GFXBench and we’re lucky that happened, because we got to know the specs of the phone.
In the meantime, a few hours ago we got word that the smartphone was certified by the equivalent of the FCC in Japan. The VAIO JCI VA-10J comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop, which is something we already knew and it also brings a 5 inch 720p display, as well as a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. It relies on the Adreno 306 GPU and uses 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage.
There’s a 12 MP back camera with Full HD video capture, autofocus, HDR and obviously a LED flash, plus a 5 MP front shooter, able to capture Full HD video. The device also brings an accelerometer, compass, GPS, gyro, pedometer and proximity sensor. No NFC, though… This sounds like a midranger to me and we’re still curious about the design.
