After a lot of teasers and leaked images, today, Vivo officially unveiled the X5 Max phablet, device that measures only 4.75 mm thickness, a size that makes it the world’s slimmest phone. As you may know, until today, the world’s slimmest smartphone was Oppo R5, device that brough a 4.85 mm case.
Vivo X5 Max offers a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1.920 x 1.080 pixel resolution, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor (64-bit), an Adreno 405 GPU, 2 GB of RAM memory, 16 GB space of internal storage, a microSD card slot up to 128 GB, a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a f/2.0 aperture.
This device also brings a 5-megapixel front-facing camera (f/2.4 aperture), dual-SIM support (microSIM+ nano SIM), 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 and Bluetooth connectivity. On the software side, Vivo X5 Max adopted Android 4.4 KitKat with the Funtouch OS 2.0 custom interface applied on-top.
In terms of design, we get to know that Vivo X5 Max comes with a magnesium alloy and stainless steel body and a stainless steel back with anti-fingerprint coating. Inside the phone we get a Yamaha YSS-205X sound processing chip and a OPA1612 audio output. Unlike the Oppo R5, this one offers a 3.5-mm audio jack and HI-FI 2.0 technology.
Vivo X5 Max will be available for order starting December 22 for a $485 price tag. Unfortunately, there’s just a color variation available, more precisely the Aurora White. Also, is expected that Vivo X5 Max to be launched on other markets too, like India on December 15th. How this device looks for you? Would you buy it?
