After months of speculations, leaks and rumours, Dell’s first major handset is getting ready for launch. It should hit China Mobile this week and we’re also expecting the Dell Mini 3 handset in Brazil, as confirmed a week ago.

The Chinese Mini 3i comes with quad band GSM/EDGE connectivity, without 3G support and it also packs a 3.5 inch nHD touchscreen display, with a 640 x 360 pixel resolution. Said display was also found on Nokia N97, so it should perform pretty well.

This OPhone-based device (Chinese Android) measures 58.35 x 122 x 11.7mm and will ship in red passion and oiled bronze color versions. Dell Mini 3i also packs Bluetooth, a 3 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash and video capture, plus a microSD slot and GPS.

Will Dell manage to conquer the Chinese market and a decent share of the 500 million China Mobile subscribers?
