Android Phones now stand for 20% of the mobile web traffic for smartphones and, as the image above shows, the Android device driving most traffic is HTC Dream, with 36%, followed by Motorola Droid, with 24% and HTC Magic, with 21%. Motorola Droid’s performance is pretty impressive, considering that the handset has only been available for a few weeks.

If you thought that these figures were impressive, wait till you see the following chart, showing that the iPhone OS brings 55% of the mobile web traffic for smartphones. This means, basically that Apple and Google are dominating the mobile web. Any hope for a third contender?
