While US president Obama is very much into smartphones/Blackberries, the Russian head of state, Dmitry Medvedev chooses a more elegant communication solution: a watch phone made by LG. The model is, of course, LG-GD910, the handset spotted at the official’s wrist at the latest international events and meetings.

A fan of Deep Purple in his youth, Dmitry Medvedev likes French wine, Italian suits and now this piece of gadgetry, so he’s got good taste, but not much of passion for high tech gear. LG-GD910 is a watch phone that features a 1.43 inch touchscreen display, half the size of the screen on a normal phone.

You can view the screen even when the LCD is off, if external light is available. Also, you should know that this is the first touch watch phone to support 7.2 Mbps HSDPA connectivity, enabling video phone calls via the incorporated camera.
