Recently there have been rumours regarding a delay of Windows Mobile 7 till 2011, but nothing’s sure at this point. However, we expect Microsoft to launch Windows Mobile 6.6 in February, during MWC 2010, or so claim a couple of sources from Taiwan.

The codename of this OS upgrade is Windows Mobile Maldives and it should bring full support for capacitive touchscreen displays. Other differences and upgrades from WM 6.5 are not known yet and in case you’re wondering, WM 6.6 will look something like the image above (WM 6.5 Build 23022).
