It’s the upgrade day today, since after the iPhone and Nexus One, HTC HD2 also gets a ROM update, available for users to download. The update improves the SMS messaging feature, making it more reliable and fast and that’s about all we know about the update.

Keep in mind that this is a generic software update, so all your software or settings provided by the carrier you’re using will be lost. Also, you should verify if the ROM version you’re installing is newer than the one currently available on your handset.

Just a reminder: the upgrade will erase any data stored on the device, so you should back up your data before upgrading. Also, the battery level must be at least 50% before updating.
