Samsung has introduced its very first Bada OS phone, the S8500 Wave model in Barcelona, just as Mobile World Congress opens its doors. The device premiers Samsung’s OS and it’s got pretty impressive specifications, available after the break.

Samsung Wave S8500 uses a 1GHz CPU, a 3.3 inch Super AMOLED display, a 5MP camera, Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi. Multimedia is what the handset is all about, since it comes with multi codec support, DivX, Xvid, 720p video recording and decoding, plus “virtual 5.1” surround sound.

Shipment is scheduled for April, but the price is unknown.
