Emporia is an Austrian mobile phone maker, that recently showcased two new products at MWC 2010. We’re talking about two handsets for the elderly, the Elegance and Solid models, both packing large buttons and high contrast displays.
Emporia Elegance will be launched in Q2 2010 for $175 and it’ll work on GSM 900/1800 MHz networks, packing a 1.8 inch OLED display, a very loud speaker and hearing aid compatibility. The Solid model will be a more rugged device, going for $270 and intended to hit the market in Q3 2010.
It features a 1.8 inch OLED display and it’s able to withstand water and dirt. The handset also packs Bluetooth and both Emporia units will provide 250 hours of standby and 3 hours of talk time, thanks to their batteries.
