AT&T has finally decided to start offering a tethering plan for the iPhone 3G, an option only available till now for the users of jailbroken units who managed to tether their devices with the aid of various third party software.

Ralph de la Vega, AT&T Mobility CEO recently mentioned, during an interview that the carrier is getting ready to launch a tethering service for iPhone owners, but no more info on that matter till now. It would have been a cash cow for AT&T if this option was available back when the iPhone 3G hit the market, but Christmas will do just as good, probably.
