If you think you’re a fast texter, wait till you see this guy! In the video below you can spot a dude typing a phrase on his Samsung Omnia II so fast, that he beats the Guiness World Record for texting speed. It’s all done thanks to the Swype virtual keyboard:
Swype is an alternative keyboard for touchscreens, allowing users to drag paths through the letters of a word, instead of tapping them individually. The person breaking the world record is Frankin Page, a Swype employee, required by the Guiness Book of Records to write this challenging phrase:
“The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human,”
It took Page 35.54 seconds to do this, thus breaking the current record for fastest text message by 5 seconds. How long does it take you to do a similar task?
