After finding out all there is to know about the leaked iPhone 4G prototype, checked out by Gizmodo last week, we’re trying to learn details about the device’s launch. As far as we know, Apple usually launches new iPhones in the summer time and 2010 shouldn’t be an exception, specially since the Cupertino giant will hold the Worldwide Developers Conference in early June.
The event will place in San Francisco, between June 7 and June 11, being dedicated to hands-on sessions with iPhone OS 4 and Mac OS X. WWDC events have traditionally been the occasions for Apple to announce new iPhones, with this happening both in 2008 and 2009. Thus, we expect the next-gen handset to debut during the keynote starting WWDC 2010.
Our surprise concerning this year’s new iPhone has been a bit spoiled by the whole Gizmodo thing, with the Apple employee losing an iPhone 4G prototype and Gizmodo recovering it for testing and analysis. Even the police got involved in the matter, that seems to be a neverending story right now.
