The folks of XDA have done it again, this time managing to make a Nintendo Wiimote work with handset games. We’re talking about pikipirs, a forum user who worked on the compatibility between the Wiimote and his Android handset. Here’s Donkey Kong Country running on a Google Nexus One, controlled by the Nintendo joystick:

The setup is easy to do, so there’s no need for weird actions or configurations. Check out the original post on XDA and remember that this app has some issues when running on a HTC device, specially with HTC Sense on.

Stability will have to be improved as the project ends its Alpha stage and enters beta, next reaching a stable release. Remember to search “Wiimote” on the market to see what apps support this functionality.
