Android Community managed to score an LG Ally unit for testing purpose and detailed the affordable Android phone, that became available via pre-order on May 13th. The handset goes for $99.99 with a new agreement on Verizon and you can check it out in the following pictures.
The price mentioned above is very reasonable for a hardware QWERTY phone like LG Ally, packing a 3.2 inch touchscreen, a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera and Android 2.1. Android Community claims that the glass touchscreen feels responsive and the keyboard has a decent tactile feel, although the key layout is a bit odd.
LG has done minimal UI changes, specially when compared to what Motorola or HTC have done with MOTOBLUR and Sense, respectively. The reviewers of the new LG phone are readying their final conclusions right now, so you should stay tuned for more info.
