WebOS handsets aren’t getting the credit and sales they deserve, but webOS is surely a piece of technology worth preserving and hopefully it’ll evolve in the future, under HP’s wing. In the meantime, the guru behind its interface has just fled to the Android boat, maybe lending a hand to the Gingerbread (Android 3.0) creation.
Matias Duarte is now User Experience Director for Android and we have to mention that he previously worked on the Sidekick with Andy Rubin, while they were both part of Danger. Imagine the cool WebOS interface combined with Android, creating something that would make HTC Sense, MOTOBLUR and TouchWiz look outdated.
