Apple sure is keen on applying for patents, even if they don’t intend to use them… To prove this, they’ve snatched yet another patent, this time for a technology that allows the user to pause a video playing on Apple TV and resume it on their Apple mobile device.
The patent shows that the user will also be able to play a tune, pause it and continue listening to the song on the iPod Touch or iPhone. This is done via cloud data syncing, saving the exact minute and second of playback, so you won’t miss a beat.
This is one way to keep your media on the go, but it’s not as groundbreaking as it seems at first sight. Let’s see how this fits in with Apple’s potential streaming service and the iPhone HD.
