BGR hits us with a scoop, regarding the release of the new iPhone. Apparently the device will be launched on June 18th and we don’t yet know if it’ll be dubbed the iPhone 4G or iPhone HD (or maybe some other name). AT&T store reps recently confirmed that the sale quotas for June are very high, in case you’re looking for hints.
Some stores have a 25-30% increase in their sales quota and BGR claims that if the launch goes down on Friday the 25th, such sales quotas won’t be met, so 18th June is the most likely launch date.
Will any of the shipments headed towards stores these days “lose” an unit for us all to glance at?
