Samsung is developing a new type of AMOLED, that’s both unbreakable and flexible. You can see the display panel in the video below, as it gets compared to standard glass AMOLEDs and faces the shock of being hit by a hammer:

The new AMOLED is able to handle both bending and hammering, so it’ll be great for portable devices. The new technology involves the use of polyamide protective film, that works great, as shown by the video. Now let’s see how they’ll make the rest of the handset flexible too…
