Right after the HP-Palm merger we’ve started hearing rumours about webOS-based printers and tablets, with HP already filing a trademark for the “Palmpad” name. Now we learn straight from Palm’s Jon Rubinstein that we’ll see webOS 2.0 rolling out in 2010.

At first everyone thought that HP will kill the development of webOS and focus on Windows Phone 7/Win 7 for its products, but it seems the platform is still viable for development. Rubinstein’s announcement came during the Fortune Brainstorm Tech conference.

Can you imagine a tablet made by HP and running webOS 2.0? Drool worthy material?
