The New York Times is reporting that Amazon has plans concerning an in-house made mobile phone and a bunch of other gadgets, too. They want to expand from the Kindle e-reader reaching out to more hardware segments and enabling their users to view content relying on their own products.
The famous online retailer would use said devices to allow customers to purchase Amazon content, specially digital books, music, movies and more. The company’s Lab 126 division is the one focused on Kindle development and we learn that it’ll lend a few specialists to the mobile phone project, plus hire a few new ones.
As far as the handset is concerned, it’s supposed to rival the Apple and Google products and we’re really curious to see what OS it would be running.
