Nokia’s Design by Community project was supposed to allow the general public to choose their favorite specifications and design traits for a future smartphone concept. The public voted and the result were 3 sketches, with a single one picked by Nokia and turned into a real design by its specialist. Here’s the chosen one, Nokia U:


It took 18,000 votes and some hard work to turn the winning device into a render… and what a smartphone this is! Here’s the specs list for the futuristic Nokia U concept phone:

Size: 60 x 110 x 6-10mm
Connectivity: WiFi 802.11 b/g/m, USB 3.0, HDMI, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, HSDPA
Camera: 8MP, dual LED, Xenon flash, HD video recording, 4X optical zoom
Others: monoblock design, aluminum case, multiple OS, kinetic energy powered device, multitasking, touch input, surround sound speakers
