The T-Mobile G1 is a pretty neat device, although it has its shortcomings, which are in the process of being solved right now. There’s already that 3.5mm headphone jack adapter on its way and now we’ve even got multi-touch support on the Android phone, thanks to a great compiler. His name is Ryan Gardner and he’s the developer of a very useful app, that’s the backbone of the G1’s future multitouch features.

That goes to show that the lack of multitouch was not a hardware limitation of the G1, but rather a software one, as we mentioned in a previous article.
