We knew that Nokia was developing a tablet version of the MeeGo OS, so they had to test on something, right? Well, the Finns will be launching a slate, that’s for sure, specially if we take into account a recent leak, courtesy of Ovi Store. Here’s the page of the tablet, that’s empty for now, since there are no apps for it.

Back in June, Mobile Review’s Eldar Murtazin hinted at the existence of the device, pointing out towards a Chinese manufacturer, as Nokia’s partner for this unit. Now, Nokia Z500 is very much confirmed thanks to this leak and we’re possibly looking at a MeeGo-based iPad rival. We wonder if the Finns will go with the 10 inch multimedia/web slate, or the tinier 7 inch unit, easy to use with one hand and basically a larger Nokia N900?
