The FCC is having a busy time, leaking/unveiling quite a bunch of handsets, among which there’s also BlackBerry Curve 8980, the handset pictured below. This is finally a fit successor to the BlackBerry Curve 8900, but we have to mention that the phone hasn’t yet been announced. However, don’t expect an impressive specs list…
The device lacks 3G, but it does include a full QWERTY keyboard, GPS, Bluetooth and a 3.2MP camera with flash. If you’re looking for an upgrade compared to its predecessor, this could be the WiFi 802.11 b/g/n support and the replacement of a trackball with an optical trackpad.
We’re also disappointed by the fact that Curve 8980 runs BB OS 5, instead of the latest version, but we’re expecting a BlackBerry OS 6 in the future.
