Google has just released first OTA (over the air) update for the Samsung Nexus S handset. The software is only 1.9MB and it’s the GRH78 version we’re talking about, turning the Android OS up to version 2.3.1. A new generation of Google Maps is included, plus some bug fixes.

In case you haven’t yet received a notification concerning the update, feel free to trick the handset to get it by dialing *#*#checkin#*#*.
