The Wall Street Journal has some very interesting (and bad) news for Nokia fans: turns out that the music powerhouse known as the X7 won’t be coming to the U.S. at all. The last times we saw pics of the device it was shown with the AT&T branding on, but that’s over now, since the launch was cancelled.

This music phone wasn’t even announced officially and it would have been a first for AT&T, considering it runs Symbian^3. Nokia X7 was supposed to be announced before MWC 2011 next month and the reason for this cancelation is that AT&T doesn’t want to provide subsidies or marketing support for the product.

The device will still debuts on other markets, but its fate remains unknown for U.S. customers.
