Acer has been working hard on a new handset, the beTouch E210 model, that’s supposed to be both entry level and business-oriented. This handset comes with a front portrait QWERTY keyboard and it was recently spotted over at the FCC, that also provided the features of the handset.

This candybar phone is very much like a BlackBerry replacement, possibly cheaper and with more mediocre specs. Here’s the feature list:

  • Display: 2.6 inch, QVGA TFT, resistive touchscreen, 320 x 240
  • CPU: 600MHz, Qualcomm MSM7227
  • Memory: 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM
  • Camera: 3MP
  • Connectivity: Bluetooth, WiFi

March 11th is the launch date for this business model, at least in the UK. US customers will get their version via AT&T, supporting UMTS 850 and 1900 bands.
