Samsung’s Google Nexus S 4G has just made a trip to Washington, as it was ready for some FCC testing and approval. The device was officially known as SPH-D720, which is the model number it carries. The sketch of the handset and the documents reveal that this is in fact the Nexus S 4G.
The FCC papers show that this is a CDMA model with WiMAX support and it seems we’ll see Sprint offering the phone, as we previously knew. The difference between the Nexus S 4G and other Android models with 4G connectivity? Well, it could be the fact that it runs stock Android Gingerbread and it will be among the first to get future updates.
Launch via Sprint will most likely go down on April 24th, with a $199.99 price tag and a 2 year contract.
