Huawei has just announced that it wants a piece of the Windows Phone pie and it’s thinking about making a WP7 device of its own. They probably want to match the recent partnership of ZTE with Microsoft, announced during the Mango OS event this week.
Huawei CMO Victor XU mentioned for ZD Net that the company is following the evolution of Windows Phone and it could release a device of its own by 2012. ZTE is already on the official list, but Microsoft announced that more updates on this matter will follow, so the list is open, especially since it’s also lacking ASUS and Dell from it.
Since ZTE and Huawei will enter the biz, this means lower priced devices with Windows Phone on board, so that’s a good thing.
