Courtesy of Pocketnow, we’ve come across some very interesting pics of the ASUS PadFone, that was teased over the past weeks. This hybrid between a smartphone and a tablet looks pretty hot and we wonder what OS is on board, although Android Ice Cream Sandwich is a pretty good guess.
The handset is integrated into the slate using a lid, that covers it. However, the phone is not covered completely, as the camera gets a special hole through which it will take pictures. ASUS PadFone is supposed to come in copper and black, packing dual speakers and unknown specifications for now.
The hybrid recently appeared on the web as a patent by ASUS and we’re expecting it live in action at Computex 2011. We wonder if the processor inside the phone also powers the slate or if they have separate CPUs. I guess we’ll find that out tomorrow.
