BlackBerry Bold 9900 is potential hit made by RIM and now we learn that the device reached the FCC for testing purposes. Also known as the Bold 9930 in its CDMA version, the handset is being tested for connectivity in the short range, meaning the Bluetooth, WiFi and NFC capabilities are tried out.
This new Bold handset brings forth a 1.2GHz CPU, a 2.8 inch 640 x 480 pixel touchscreen and 768 MB of RAM. This appealing package also includes BlackBerry 7, that’s in fact BB OS 6.1 rebranded, in order to reach QNX OS faster. This device is capable of OpenGL 3D gaming, fast browser and much more. Supposedly we’ll see it on the market in late August, if not September…
AT&T will probably be teh first carrier in the States, while Sprint and Verizon will get the 9930 version. Canadian carriers might start selling this device even earlier. Will this unit become a hit?
