Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Mini Pro finally got the FCC blessing and this tiny model might reach the pocket of a business woman soon, as a rival for the HP Veer. This model packs a 2.8 inch device, front facing camera and a full sliding QWERTY keyboard, plus 1GHz processor.

The connectivity tests at the FCC show that this model is mostly intended for the European market and hopefully it will record sales big enough to pull Sony Ericsson from its dark spot. The only bad thing about this unit is its thickness, 18mm, a bit much, even for a sliding QWERTY handset that’s so tiny.

Also, Xperia Mini Pro weighs 136 grams and has the appeal of a Mobile Bravia engine display, complete with multitouch and Timescape UI. 512MB of RAM and a 5 megapixel camera make this Android 2.3 handset sound even better.
