There’s an interesting device out there, dubbed the HTC Vigor that joins the huge list of leaks from the Taiwanese maker. The list includes models such as HTC Kingdom, Bliss, Eternity and Omega, each with their own unique feature and now this handset with a 720p display.

Unbelievable as it may seem, this smartphone really sports a 1280 x 720 screen and this name is strangely familiar, since the device had a leaked picture at the beginning of the month. That was a shot taken with the handset’s 6MP camera, that might get an upgrade if time passes. The model number is ADR6425 and the handset will be a media powerhouse with such a screen resolution.

Also, its codename appeared in the NenaMark benchmark data, so it’s as official as it gets. The smartphone is supposed to pack a 1.5GHz CPU (no info on core number), an Adreno 220 GPU, Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread and support for Verizon’s network. LTE should also be in the mix, but the real bundle of joy is that HD display.

Samsung recently leaked a device with a similar resolution, but that’s yet to be confirmed as a smartphone, since it can be an upgraded Galaxy Tab.
