One thing’s for sure: Apple employees like to eat well, as shown by the picture of a sushi plate taken with an iPhone 5 supposedly. The image’s associated data indicates that this is an iPhone 4 shot, but nothing’s unusual, since it’s not out of the ordinary for a new generation device in prototype phase to use older firmware.
This pic had an original resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels, but it was cropped to 2235 x 2291, in order to better frame the plate pictured here. The original res shows that we’re dealing with an 8 megapixel camera with 4:3 aspect ratio. However, keep in mind that all the data we have can be fake, since an EXIF is very easy to fake.
Also, there are indications towards the location where this photo was taken: Apple’s Infinite Loop campus Building 1, so most likely it was taken by an engineer during lunch break. I would have preferred to see a picture of the new iPhone, but I guess that a pic taken with its camera will do just as well…
