The long lost brother of the 4.7 incher HTC Titan is the HTC Runnymede, another giant smartphone that runs Android and has the same diagonal. This model was recently spotted in a hands on experience, that’s detailed in the video at the end of the article.
We’re dealing here with a 1.5GHz single core smartphone, with a 4.7 inch display with WVGA resolution and 768MB of RAM. There’s also 16GB of storage, so nobody will protest like they did with the HTC Sensation came out with 1GB of internal memory. Runnymede also packs an 8 megapixel camera and a 1.3 megapixel webcam upfront.
Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread runs the show here, together with HTC Sense 3.5, the latest custom interface from the Taiwanese company. Rumors say that Runnymede may get a more commercial name like HTC Bass, a justified naming for a handset that bundles a Beats by Dr. Dre set of headphones. Also, you must notice the white, glossy case of this phone, that’s not so appealing honestly…
