Santa comes early and he actually arrives from a place in Finland, if I’m not mistaking, so Nokia’s latest initiative makes them Santa’s little helpers, right? Turns out the greatest manufacturer of cellphones announced today that the sales of Nokia N85 and N79 have started in the US, just in time for the holiday season.
Nokia N85 is all about hot design and entertainment features, using its 2.6 inches OLED display to deliver quality video content, while the N79 allows you to toy with its Xpress-on smart covers. They’ll be available in red, white and brown, making holiday-themed customization a ball for all users.
Nokia N85 is also great for gaming with the aid of the supported N-Gage platform, but it also delivers a great web browsing experience. Both handsets feature 5 megapixel cameras with Carl Zeiss optics, dual LED flash and support for video recording (30 fps). Geotagging is also available, plus support for sharing media content through Share on Ovi and Flickr.
Nokia’s handsets also come with more than enough storage space for your favourite songs: an 8 GB microSD card on Nokia N85 and a 4 GB one on the N79 and there’s also Nokia Maps available on them with a 3 month license for pedestrian and voice guided navigation. Both N Series hit devices will be available unlocked in the US, via retail channels, independent retailers, e-tailers and www.nokiausa.com
