The idea of “edge to edge display” was made popular by the iPhone 5 concepts that seemed to have that new screen in common. Well, now a Motorola handset adopts the technology, probably making sure that in case Apple also uses it, they will turn that into a lawsuit. The edge to edge screen newcomer is the Motorola XT615 shown below.

We’re talking mid range here, with a handset that comes with a Qualcomm 800 MHz processor, 512MB of RAM and a 4 inch FWVGA display. Android works with the Moto Switch 2.0 UI and this device supports HSDPA, WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0, plus it comes with a pretty good 8 megapixel camera with LED flash. Add to that a VGA camera, 1GB of ROM, a microSD card slot and you’re all set…

Motorola XT615 measures 9.85mm in thickness, weighs 123.6 grams and comes in two color versions: licorice and ultra white. The handset will debut in Taiwan in mid December with a price tag of about $360 and we have no idea if this unit will ever come to the USA or Europe…
