The quad core Huawei Ascend D1 Q phone just got pictured ahead of its unveiling at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Last weekend we got a teaser of the device, showing us its insides and design, but nothing much about the specs. At least we knew the name… and now we get a decent picture to match.
This quad core Tegra 3 is only one of the wave of smartphones relying on this processing solution. We’ve got the HTC One X, the LG Optimus 4X HD and who knows what other Tegra 3 surprises. There’s a catch phrase here for the Ascend D1 Q: “the world’s fastest smartphone. it flies”. I’m guessing we’re also getting Android 4.0 ICS here, maybe LTE, an 8 megapixel camera, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, Bluetooth 3.0 and maybe even a custom interface, although I’d rather have my ICS stock version, thanks.
I’m curios what frequency this CPU will have, considering Huawei brags so much about it… Maybe it will get past the 1.3GHz or 1.5GHz mark we’ve heard about recently in the cases of the ASUS Transformer Prime and HTC One X? I don’t think so, but we’ll see in about an hour.
