HTC has just unveiled the HTC One X and One V smartphones in Taiwan and promised to start shipments from April 2. Three local carriers in Taiwan, Chunghwa Telecom, Far EasTone Telecommunications and Taiwan Mobile are the ones that will be selling the new handsets.
Pre-sales for the One X have already reached 50.000 units and these figures were released now, because the handset has been available for preorder since March 20. Recently, a HTC official said that the preorders for the quad core Tegra 3 smartphone from HTC had been strong all over the world. The One X is expected to be the top selling model in the smartphone market in April. And why shouldn’t it be? It has a quad core CPU in the non US version and a Snapdragon S4 dual core unit that’s actually more powerful than Tegra 3 in the US version, plus a 4.7 inch 720p display. Here’s our hands on with the phone at MWC 2012.
Plus, there’s also HTC One S, the thinnest HTC model ever, that we tested right here, also at MWC 2012. And finally, HTC One V is a follow-up of the HTC Legend, using a design with chin and unibody shell. Here’s the hands on from MWC for this model, too.
