Since LG already has a new 3D phone, that we already reviewed, the Optimus 3D Max, I guess it’s time for its rivals to also launch similar products. HTC should be the first one, following up on last year’s HTC EVO 3D unit. And guess what? A device that looks like 3D material made a cameo appearance in the recent promo video for HTC EVO 4G LTE…
The HTC EVO 4G LTE was shown recently, during a Sprint + HTC press conference. This model is made from a single piece of anodized aluminum and brings forth a kickstand, plus a 4.7 inch 720p screen and dual core Snapdragon S4. Basically it’s a HTC One series unit that’s been rebranded and tweaked a bit… In the meantime, as far as the HTC EVO 3D 2 is concerned, this model’s back looks like the one of the HTC EVO 4G LTE, except it sports two cameras.
I hope they don’t mess up the product with a crazy name like HTC EVO 3D 4G LTE, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they did. This model appears to have a dual camera, dual LED flash and it probably also sports a 3D screen. It would be cool if HTC took the whole 3D thing up a notch, at least in diagonal and resolution, since 3D phones have been limited to tiny resolutions for the past year and none of them have reached 720p level, yet (not counting some very cool and rare Japanese handsets).
