After some months of speculation, the handset formerly known as HTC Golf and HTC Wildfire C is now officially announced as the HTC Desire C. This new phone features a 3.5 inch HVGA display and runs Android 4.0 with HTC Sense 4.0. It will launch this month in select countries and it will be priced at around 200 euros.
The handset will come in red, white and black and it will support Beats Audio technology and a strong volume. Desire C uses a resilient metal frame and provides a premium design, plus big viewing angle. It will be bundled with 25GB of free Dropbox storage during the first 2 years of use. HTC Desire C measures 11.95 mm in thickness, weighs 98 grams and supports a 320 x 480 pixel resolution. It has a 1.230 mAh battery, internal GPS antenna, FM radio and a Snapdragon S1 600 MHz processor.
Other features include 4 GB of storage, 512 MB of RAM, a microSD card slot, HSDPA connectivity (7.2 Mbps), proximity sensor, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi. At the back the handset will incorporate a 5 megapixel camera with fixed focus and F2.8 diaphragm. Now we’re looking forward to testing this model so in about 2-3 weeks we’ll probably get it here at GSMDome.com.
