Yesterday we heard that the new iPhone was going to be a 3.9 inch device with a 1136 x 640 pixel resolution and today it appears that the specs have changed again. This time it’s on account of MacRumors receiving a picture of a screen that’s supposed to go on the new iPod touch and sports a 4.1 inch diagonal. Well, if this is really the next iPod touch, then the new iPhone will have a similar design.

Obviously the photo could be doctored, like it happened so many times before, but it could still be real. Anyway between 3.9 inches and 4.1 I’m sure we have the iPhone 5 diagonal pretty much figured out. All that’s left to do is determine what CPU lies inside and how much RAM, internal memory and megapixels we’re going to get this time. Also mark the date June 11th in your calendars, since that’s when WWDC 2012 kicks off and Apple will be showcasing iOS 6.0, the platform you’ll be running on the next iPhone.

Rumors say we might see a new mapping application in iOS 6.0 and maybe it the devs get hold of it, they can dissect it and figure out the resolution of the new iPhone. So, which theory do you find more realistic? The one about the 3.9 inch iPhone with 1136 x 640 resolution or the 4.1 incher and why?
