Looking for a cheap phablet? Sharp may have the solution, through the just announced SH530 model, that comes with dual SIM capabilities and Android 4.0 ICS as the OS of choice. Sharp is more known for making the famous Sidekick phones in USA, but other than that they left no mark on the international market.

Now they have this Sharp SH530 5 incher device that they promise to also sell on the international market. The phablet will be available in white and pink and it comes with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution, a 1 GHz dual core Mediatek chipset and 512MB of RAM. It also supports HSPA 7.2 Mbps connectivity, AGPS, uses a 5 megapixel cam at the back and a 1.3 MP one upfront. 16GB of storage and a chassis that’s 9.9mm thick are also among the specs. The handset weighs 176 grams and it has no price tag yet.

We expect it to be very affordable, unlike the Galaxy Note it’s meant to resemble/rival. This certainly doesn’t look like a phablet, since the pictures don’t do it justice and make it look like some older Alcatel tiny phone or something.
