There’s a source over at GSMArena.com claiming he has a great scoop on the Galaxy Note II, including specs, a picture and even some inside info on the time of the update of the Galaxy S III to Jelly Bean. We’re waiting for the N7100 Galaxy Note II to be launched in about two weeks, during the IFA 2012 event in Berlin.

Now we have an alleged photo of the device, pictured above and just like previous rumors said, it resembles the Galaxy S III quite a bit. The tipster says that this is an official press image, but it looks pretty rough to me, to be honest. Anyway we also get some specs, that include a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED screen with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. The screen is supposed to use a regular RGB matrix and previously Samsung was rumored to be testing a Full HD screen for this device, but they gave that up because of the strain it put on the battery.

Inside the Note II we find the Exynos 4 Quad, the quad core CPU on the Galaxy S III, with 1.5 GHz frequency. The camera is the same 8 megapixel sensor as the one on the Galaxy S III. Jelly Bean is also rumored to be developed for the new Note, so it would be available shortly after its debut. Meanwhile, the same source did give us some good news for Galaxy S III owners: they will get the Jelly Bean update once the Galaxy Note II is announced on the 29th this month.
