The FCC has given us an interesting device to glance at, while they approved it: ZTE V8000. The device is coming to Cricket and it’s pictured below. In order to figure out what carrier this device will work on, you just need to look at the bands the handset is working on, shown by the FCC documents.

The device has 4 navigation keys, the usual Menu, Home, Back and Search from back in the days before Android 4.0. There seems to be an 8 megapixel camera on the phone and we also get Muve Music, SRS Audio and obviously the ZTE branding. The specs of the ZTE V8000 have leaked previously and they include a 4 inch 800 x 480 pixels display and a 1.4 GHz single core processor. A 1900 mAh battery is also in the mix and Android 4.0 ICS is the OS of choice here.

We have no info about the price or availability of the phone. Internal storage is pretty light, at 1.1 GB, but at least we get a microSD card slot on the device. What’s interesting is that ZTE’s specifications include HD Voice and so far Sprint is the only carrier in that region to get HD Voice, so maybe we can also expect it on this carrier.
