BLU has had a great start for this year and managed to launch a couple of new devices that customers will surely find attractive. The manufacturer has plenty to offer with its smartphones, including decent prices, big displays and powerful hardware features.
BLU Products has now started shipping some of its latest products to the US market. We are talking about two very well designed handsets, supporting screen sizes over 4.5-inches and IPS quality displays. The first to come to mind is the BLU Studio 5.3 II – a device sporting a 5.3-inch IPS display that offers qHD – 540 x 960 pixels resolution at a 208 ppi. The device features 4GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, 2200 mAh battery, 2.0 MP front-facing camera and 8 MP rear-facing camera with auto-focus, LED flash and 720p HD video recording.
The second BLU product that is now shipping to the US is the BLU Tank 4.5 and as the naming suggests it has a 4.5-inch IPS display offering the same qHD resolution. Due to the smaller screen size the handset offers 245 ppi and it comes with water and dust resistance thanks to its IP67 certification. The device also offers 4GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, 1760 mAh battery, front-facing camera and 5 MP rear-facing camera with LED flash.
Both handsets are powered by a dual-core 1GHz Cortex A9 processor with PowerVR SGX Series 5 graphics, run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and can take up to two SIM cards at the same time. Both are available unlocked and with sub-$200 price point.
