The Oppo Finder X907 is the thinnest smartphone in the world, give or take a tenth of a milimeter, that doesn’t actually matter when you deal with such sizes. This handset was offered to us for testing purposes and you should know that it’s priced at 350 euros and it’s launching in Russia and Moldova this month.
It measures 6.65 mm in thickness, weighs 125 grams and runs an older version of Android, customized with Yandex services. Yandex is sort of like a Russian Google, a local search engine with 60% market share in Russia. Back to the thin handset here, it comes in a white box and strangely enough it lacks an audio jack, so it’s bundled with an adapter, that switches from the microUSB port to the 3.5 mm audio jack. Also in the box we find an USB cable, headphones, charger and manual.
At first glance, this phone reminds me of an iPhone 5 or Allview device. The handset is made of plastic, metal and glass and it packs a dual core Snapdragon S3 1.5 GHz processor, plus 1 GB of RAM, a Super AMOLED Plus WVGA 4.3 inch display and an 8 megapixel camera. Oppo is quite a name apparently, since Leonardo Di Caprio starred in some of their commercials, advertising other Finder phones. The handset runs Android 4.0.3 and comes in black or white. It packs a 1500 mAh battery, that should provide 8 hours and 40 minutes of talk time.
