Just when you thought you’ve seen everything, Chinese handset makers amaze us again. This time it’s a more controversial story, as big brand company ZTE have come up with what seems to be a quad core Galaxy S III Mini clone. Is that so? We think not…
ZTE N909 is the model in question here and while the design doesn’t quite scream high end or S III Mini, our source site thinks that. We’re dealing with a 4.5 inch Android smartphone destined for the Chinese market and available on a budget. It measures 9.3 mm in thickness and packs a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm MSM8625Q processor with 1 GB of RAM and a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels.
There’s also Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on board and we’ve got a 5 megapixel camera at the back, plus a 0.3 MP shooter upfront. The product costs $159, which is basically one quarter of what the Galaxy S III would cost in a store in China. There are 5 colours to choose from, but this model is pretty ugly if you ask me.
