ZTE officially unveiled today its new Intel-based handset, the ZTE Geek handset. This strangely named device debuted at the end of day one of the IDF 2013 event in Beijing. This is an Android Jelly Bean smartphone that you can check out below and I have to say I’ve seen this CPU someplace else.

The beautiful Lenovo K900 spotted at MWC 2013 featured the same CPU choice, a 2 GHz Clover Trail+ Intel Atom chip. The other specs are pretty good as well, including a 5 inch 720p screen with Gorilla Glass, an 8 megapixel camera at the back, a 1 megapixel front shooter and 8 GB of storage, plus 1 GB of RAM and a 2300 mAh battery.

Wireless charging is also here, as well as Intel’s XMM 6260 chip for connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. If this model looks familiar to you, it’s no wonder, since it does resemble the ZTE Grand S quite a bit and it’s certainly more beautiful than the Grand X In that we recently reviewed on our YouTube channel. This product is just the start of an interesting series of Intel dual core CPU handsets, that actually score some very good benchmarks.
